What’s going on at The Saluda Inn and Wine Cellar?

The inn goes GREEN! Our paint job is almost complete and that is thanks to local Landmark Painting who has done an outstanding job! This was not an easy project climbing up into the clouds to paint the eves and angles – stop by for a look.

During the spring we have had many delightful groups pass through. In April, Boy Scout Troup 54 from Orlando, Florida came to do a service project with us. While here pulling kudzu, they had time to hike the many local trails, go down the Green River and even got snowed on going down the Nantahala! Quite exciting for this Florida group! We also recently hosted a Women’s religious retreat, the guests coming in from the lower part of SC. During the summer we will be hosting several families that have been staying at the Saluda Inn for over 30 years! Coming the summer and fall you will meet guests attending retreats for painters, knitters, scrappers, writers, quilters and maybe even some hookers. The guests are coming from all over the world! We would like to take this time to thank all of Saluda for making our groups feel so at home.

Under the Inn at the Wine Cellar we continur bringing in many local artists to our weekly “meet the artist” evenings. This town and area is so full of art and great people! The Wine Cellar has been an ideal setting to get to know them one-on–one. This is a very satisfying way to purchase art – and wine!

Aside from the art, the Wine Cellar features at least 10 wines by the glass and offers a hand picked selection from all over the wine world. We even have great organic wines. Wildflour Bakery goods are available for purchase – sweet and savory. For those who don’t drink wine, we carry one beer, from the oldest brewery in the WORLD! We also serve coffee, cocoa, hot tea and chilled beverages. Our Wine Cellar has been a popular “secret” spot to stop for a glass of wine by many locals and passers by.
